The secret behind Gin & Juice, apart from excellent Gin, is juice with texture. In this example we are juicing cucumber in a centrifuge. All sorts of fruits and veggies are welcome; apples, carrots, celery to name a few.
50 ml Almqvist Destilleri Nordic Dry Gin
100 ml centrifuged and improved cucumber juice
How to improve juice: add a little freshly squeezed lemon juice and gomme (2 parts sugar, 1 part water = thick sugar syrup) and a touch of salt. The lemon juice can be substituted for citric acid.
In a highball glass add add ice to the top, pour in Almqvist Destilleri Nordic Dry and add more ice. Pour over centrifuged and improved cucumber juice. Serve instantly.

There is much dispute regarding both the recipe and origin of this “love or hate cocktail”! We choose to believe (we might be leaning in favour of it since we are in the gin business ) the 1934 version from World Drinks and How to Mix Them: Camparinete : 1/2 jigger gin, 1/4 Italian vermouth, 1/4 jigger Campari - served with a twist of lemon peel. There is an equal parts recipe published in 1929 called Campari Mixte, which is clearly a Negroni. You can also find stories about two different counts with “Negroni” as a surname that dates earlier and these stories are much more romantic. And might or might not be true. Whether you are an equal part person or twice as much gin - the Negroni can be pre batched for ease of serving it to your friends!
40 ml Almqvist Destilleri Nordic Dry Gin
20 ml Sweet Vermouth (such as Noilly Prat)
20 ml Campari
Pour Almqvist Destilleri Nordic Dry Gin, Sweet Vermouth and Campari over lots of ice in a mixing glass and stir. Strain over new ice and garnish with an orange wedge or lemon peel.

A well made Dry Martini is our founders favourite drink. We recommend that you prebatch your martinis and store them in the freezer for an incredibly delicious, silky Dry Martini with the correct temperature. It also means you do not need ice and can serve many, consistently alike Martinis at once – since you just pour them out from the bottle.

1 part Dry Vermouth such as Noilly Prat

Pre-batched Dry Martini Preparation
The martini should be prepared as a pre-mixed martini in the gin or aquavit bottle.
From a 500 ml bottle:
Remove 50 ml Gin from the bottle, add 45 ml Dry Vermouth such as Noilly Prat or Dolin. Replace cap on bottle, gently twist the bottle a couple of times and place in freezer at least 3 hours before serving. The Martini can be kept for months like this in the freezer.
To serve: Pour the pre-batched Martini in a martini glass or coupette, garnish with an olive.

Follow our recipie for a perfectly balanced Gin and Tonic. When making drinks that contain few ingredients, the balance is often harder to get right. Remember to use lots of ice to get the correct temprature and balance. Try it with our Rejmyre Akvavit for a Swedish twist that is equally delicious!
